Does anyone else remember when Box Tops actually meant cutting Box Tops? When I was a kid, I remember my grandma handing me a sandwich bag FULL of those little cardboard Box Tops she had clipped and saved for me to take to school. As a kid, I had no idea what it was or how it helped. Thankfully, we don’t have to keep sandwich bags of tiny cardboard squares anymore. 😂 Box Tops for Education has gone digital!

Now all you have to do is download the Box Tops app, choose James A. Garfield Elementary, and scan your receipts. You’re already buying the groceries and household items anyway, you might as well help earn a little money for our school while you’re at it! The Box Top App will also sync up with the Walmart App so you wouldn't even have to scan the Walmart Receipts!

It may only be a few cents at a time, but when all of us do it, those cents add up. 🖤💛

So this is your friendly PTO reminder: scan those receipts!

And shoutout to all the grandmas who faithfully clipped and saved every single Box Top back in the day!!

Ok, Ok, we know we are all just getting back into the groove of being back to school and spooky season is barely upon us BUT we always have to think ahead for the events for our kiddos! This year the Santa Shop will be held December 7th-11th. This event is not possible without volunteers to help our kiddos shop for the special people in their lives.

If you’re able to help, check out the SignUpGenius below and grab a time that works for you!

As always, we appreciate every single person who gives their time to help make these events possible!

This week, we had the privilege of welcoming the James A. Garfield Elementary Class of 2039 as they learned, explored, made new friends, and got their very first taste of what it means to be a G-Man! 🖤💛

A HUGE thank you to our Safety Village Chair, Krista Hardway, for the countless hours of planning, organizing, and coordinating that go into making this week possible. So much happens behind the scenes before our kids ever walk through the doors, and we are incredibly grateful for your time and dedication to making Safety Village such a special experience each year.

And to every single volunteer who gave their time this week, THANK YOU! Whether you helped with activities, guided our little G-Men from place to place, passed out snacks, helped behind the scenes, or jumped in wherever you were needed, you helped make this week one these kids will remember. We truly could not do it without you.

To our newest G-Men, we hope Safety Village helped make James A. Garfield Elementary feel a little more familiar and a lot more exciting. We can't wait to watch you learn, grow, and make so many memories here.

Welcome to Garfield, Class of 2039! Your adventure is just beginning! 🖤💛
