🌱 Let’s get ready to dig in the dirt and watch our students bloom! We are thrilled to officially launch the RRES PTA Science Garden Club! 🌻✨

This new club gives our students a fun, hands-on opportunity to connect with nature, care for the earth, and grow fresh plants together.

🌿 Club Details:
🗓️ When: Every Thursday after school | 4:00 PM – 4:30 PM (Starts next Thursday, August 27!)
📍 Where: The Science Garden
🎒 Who: Open to all grades!
💰 Cost: 100% FREE

🥕 What We Will Do:
Plant seeds, beautiful flowers, and fresh vegetables
Learn how food grows and practice environmental stewardship
Dive into fun nature crafts and seasonal projects

👥 How to Join & Help:

Students: Come out to a meeting

Our GoPlaySave Triangle Mobile App Fundraiser is going strong! We have reached 1/3 of our goal of $3000 to help continue paint improvements throughout the school. Our school keeps 50% of each mobile app sold!

What is GoPlaySave? It’s a mobile app packed with over $12,000 in local savings to the places your family already loves, like Culvers, Urban Air, Nova Trampoline Park, Dave and Busters, and more.

Recently you might have noticed some improvements in the front of our great school. BIG THANKS to our RRES PTA Beautification Committee chairs and ALL the families that showed up last weekend and cleared weeds, sticks, and even some poison ivy 🍃. It's looking great! We'll be having more school beautification/ cleanup days in the future (usually about 1 per quarter) so keep an eye out for the notifications and come join us next time!

TOMORROW!! Please meet up and hang out - and maybe meet some new parents and friends!

🦋 LEND A HAND FOR RAND! 🌸

Our campus needs a little TLC, and we need YOU to help make Rand Road Elementary shine!

We are hosting a front-of-school cleanup and need volunteers for a few fun projects:
🌱 Weeding the entry gardens
🧹 Picking up trash and fallen limbs
🛠️ Fixing our school butterfly houses

🗓️ When: Saturday, August 8 | 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
📍 Where: Front entrance of Rand Road Elementary

🛠️ What to bring: Please bring your own work gloves and any extra tools you can spare, such as wheelbarrows, garden carts, rakes, and hand tools.

It’s a great way to give back, hang out with neighbors, and get outside. Bring your family, your energy, and your school pride! See you there!

Want to chaperone an upcoming field trip, help out in the classroom, or volunteer at our next PTA event? We would love to have you!

To ensure the safety of all students, all volunteers must register and be approved by WCPSS before helping out. Even if you were approved last year, you must renew your registration for the new school year.
