Timber Drive Elementary School

Timber Drive Elementary School Learning Today to Lead Tomorrow! Timber Drive Elementary opened in July, 1997, as a year round school in Garner, North Carolina.

Our mascot is the Timberwolf and our school colors are blue and green. We are proud to offer a rigorous curriculum that is differentiated to meet the individual needs of our students. In addition to focusing on our core curriculum, our students enjoy a variety of extracurricular activities and clubs. These include Battle of the Books, Kindness Club, Safety Patrol, Chorus, and others. We are proud

of our special events that showcase the work and effort of our students and teachers, and connect our school to our families and community in positive ways. Examples of these events are DanceFest, Fall and Spring Pack Nights, Howlabration, Read Across America Celebration, Breakfast and a Book, Field Day, Science Fair, and quarterly Character Education awards. Currently, all Timber Drive students and staff follow track 4 on the Wake County Public School System Year Round Schedule. We are eager to share all of the wonderful things that are happening at Timber Drive Elementary School every day. We welcome you to our learning community.

A staff member spotted an injured hawk on the playground today. We gave it space and called American wildlife refuge, a local raptor rehabilitation organization. A volunteer came out and retrieved it. She told us it was a male red-tailed hawk with an injured wing. She took it to the rehabilitation center and will give us updates!
