Oak City Academy

Some of our OCA administrators and teachers recently attended the 2026 Montessori Association of North Carolina conference, taking time to learn, connect with fellow Montessori educators, and bring fresh ideas back to our community.

We’re grateful for a team that continues to grow in their practice and invest in our students and families.

There’s something so special about seeing Oak City Academy in person.

It’s the way students learn, the relationships they build, the joy they bring to the classroom, and the way faith is woven into everyday life.

If you’ve been wondering if OCA could be the right fit for your family, we’d love for you to come experience it for yourself.

Admissions tour sign-ups for the 2027-28 school year open next week!

Some of our Fall Family Connect raffle winners recently enjoyed a smoothie-making class with Mrs. Egger, and one of our Blended Campus students enjoyed a special High Tea with Lindsay Fooshee, our Head of School. From creating tasty treats to sharing tea and conversation, these experiences were full of joy and connection.

Our first all-staff meeting of the school year called for a photobooth! And look who crashed the party in the background…

You voted, and we counted, and it’s official: our Bucks mascot is named Oakley!

Today, our Middle School students and staff took time to pause, remember, and pray as we reflect on the events of September 11, 2011.

They prayed for those who lost their lives, the families and communities forever changed by that day, and all who continue to carry the weight of those events.

We also lifted up our military members, first responders, and their families, asking God to protect them, strengthen them, and give them courage as they serve and protect others.

At Oak City Academy, we want students to be prepared for life: equipped academically, emotionally, socially, and spiritually to step confidently into whatever comes next.

From hands-on learning in the early years to real-world application in Middle School, we want students to understand not only what they are learning, but why it matters.

Kinda chic, if you ask us.
