A massive thank you to our expert instructor, Amy Tucker, DNP, RN, CCRN, TCRN (Trauma Outreach Education & Injury Prevention Coordinator at Parkland Health's Rees-Jones Trauma Center). Under her brilliant guidance, these future healthcare leaders gained critical, life-saving skills.

💙 Honoring 20 Years with Harmony Public Schools 💙

This school year, we are proud to celebrate the dedicated educators and staff members whose 20 years of service have helped shape generations of Harmony students and families. Today, we recognize Claudia Kongamnach, principal at Harmony School of Innovation-Garland, for reaching this remarkable milestone.

For two decades, Mrs. Kongamnach has helped create a supportive and welcoming environment for students, staff, and families. Reflecting on what has kept her with Harmony for 20 years, she shared:

“The colleagues I work with have always felt like a family, and Harmony has become a second home to me.”

She also shared that serving students and watching them grow into “successful, responsible members of our communities” continues to inspire her every day. Seeing their achievements and knowing Harmony played a role in their journey is what makes the work so meaningful.

Among her most memorable moments are seeing former students return as colleagues and teachers, being invited to their weddings, and even watching their children attend Harmony. She also reflected on the pride of seeing former students grow into leaders in their communities as business owners, doctors, professionals, and parents.

“Moments like these truly show the long-lasting impact of education.”

When asked what reaching 20 years means to her, Mrs. Kongamnach shared:
“More than anything, it makes me feel grateful. I’m thankful for the opportunity to be part of such a great organization that truly cares about our students and staff.”

💙 Honoring 20 Years with Harmony Public Schools 💙

As the school year comes to a close, it is a special time to reflect on the milestones and achievements made throughout the years. Join us as we highlight dedicated Harmony staff members who have spent 20 years serving our students, families, and communities. We begin by recognizing Clinton Barnes, Dean of Student Culture at Harmony School of Innovation-Garland, one of the first Harmony Public Schools staff members to achieve this incredible milestone.

For two decades, Mr. Barnes has made a meaningful impact through his leadership, positivity, and commitment to students and families. Reflecting on what has kept him with Harmony for 20 years, he shared:

“I have been fortunate to work with teams that are deeply invested in improving the lives of the students and families we serve.”

As someone from the local community, Mr. Barnes said Harmony has given him the opportunity to make “a small but meaningful impact” on the people around him. He also shared that being with Harmony for so many years has given him valuable insights that help him better support students, families, and colleagues.

One of the moments he will never forget was returning to the classroom after serving in administrative roles. He reflected on “the joy of engaging a classroom of students in a new concept and watching them understand it,” and the daily opportunities teachers have to help students believe in themselves.

Among his favorite memories was learning that former students had named their class pet hamster “Mr. Barnes.”

When asked what this milestone means to him, Mr. Barnes shared:
“Twenty years goes by quickly... I just want to focus on the moment and do what I can to share positivity with the people I work with.”
