Emma’s Education Center helps adults with intellectual disabilities continue their education. So, what happens after 22? WE WANT TO CHANGE THIS PROCESS.
In the state of Texas, high school students with intellectual disabilities can "age-out" of the independent school district as long as their Individualized Education Plans make allowances for it. What this means is that if education is necessary after the student achieves graduation status, the student can continue to stay in high school instruction until the year they turn 22. Well, parents and c

And outside pics!!
We thought you’d like to see how much they’ve grown!! And how much the students love them. ❤️❤️❤️ The ducklings really enjoyed fishing for peas. They made a huge mess but the students didn’t care. The video doesn’t show it but they had the zoomies several times and the table carried the sound of their webbed feet. It was so cool to watch them! They constantly tweet for food. They will be three weeks old tomorrow.
Charlie is already losing his tweeting as he transitions to quacking. We can’t wait!!😍
We lost our littlest one last weekend. His little body couldn’t take all the issues he had. We now have 6! RIP Cap’n Jack to that big pond in the sky.💔

CAMP EEC DAY 2
Day 2 did not disappoint!!
They spent the morning with the horses who were in desperate need of brushing, walking and playing with. They got to the three musketeers: JR, Pam and Ellie. Then went on to the minis: Swif-T and Scarlett. And last but not least, our Pink Ladies: The donkeys Jenn, Sophie and Beth.
After the morning at Lazy T Stables and Arena, they returned for a scavenger hunt, had pizza and wings and then settled down to decorate their own photo frames!
What a great time they had. Hydrate and rest over the weekend and we’ll see you Monday!!

CAMP EEC DAY 1
Day 1 of camp/field day went very well. This morning it was outside fun. They returned to play with the ducklings, then had spaghetti and meatballs for lunch, danced with Richard Simmons and then made homemade bird feeders.
We hope everyone gets rest for Day 2 tomorrow!!
Thank you to Rachel, Marcie, Grace and Rick for making camp go smoothly and making it memorable for them!!

Nothing like duckie love! 💕
We have 7.
We had 8 but one struggled yesterday to keep getting up and passed quietly.
We have three eggs still the incubator but it doesn’t look like they will be viable. 😞
But they sure do love the 7!
Q’s Charlie seems to be the gang leader (first pic) and takes a bath in the water dish every morning.
It’ll soon be time to get them an outdoor play pen where they can enjoy the sun and grow big enough to go swimming in the kiddie pool.
