Emma's Education Center Emma’s Education Center helps adults with intellectual disabilities continue their education. So, what happens after 22? WE WANT TO CHANGE THIS PROCESS.

In the state of Texas, high school students with intellectual disabilities can "age-out" of the independent school district as long as their Individualized Education Plans make allowances for it. What this means is that if education is necessary after the student achieves graduation status, the student can continue to stay in high school instruction until the year they turn 22. are providers are forced to find alternative care for their loved ones who may not be able to work because of their disability. Many go to rehab centers, many go to adult day cares and some are homebound, forcing a working parent to stay home or provide a caregiver.

Each loaf is mixed and baked by our students and all proceeds go to a cost free camp for our students! We know it's the end of the summer but this lemon blueberry crumb bread fits right in as we transition to Fall. Bread also makes a great gift! Happy 11th Anniversary to us!
Hopefully, we’ve improved with age. We’ve had a lot of smiles and giggles through these years and we’ve also had some ups and downs (and some sorrows).

But we are here and moving into the future with one thing on our mind. Making this the best place to learn how to be independent. Well, with a little help from our friends.

We currently have two full-time openings for adults (18+) with HCS, TxHmL, or CLASS funding.

At Emma's Education Center, every day is an opportunity to learn, grow, and have fun! Our students enjoy:

A one-of-a-kind horse program
Exciting community outings
Friendships and social activities with peers
Life skills that promote greater independence at home and in the community
Academics tailored to each student's individual learning level

And here's one of our students' favorite perks—we host camp twice each year at no cost to enrolled students!

NONE OF OUR STUDENTS BRING THEIR LUNCH…..

That’s because they don’t have to!

The Founder and CEO, Miss Q, has been cooking up wholesome and balanced grub for our students for 10 plus years! Our students don’t ever go hungry. Matter of fact, if they can name their favorite foods, Miss Q has added it to the menu and has cooked it with style! 💜

Miss Q recently earned her Chef certification and will continue to plan and prepare daily lunches for our wranglers.

Come and join the fun at the Center and try meals by Chef Q first hand!
