Pecan Ranch Learning Center Inspire, Create and Discover with Pecan Ranch Learning Center Pecan Ranch is a Texas Rising Star School with a Four Star Accreditation.

Pecan Ranch is also a Texas School Ready Certified Facility. Texas Rising Star (TRS) provides professional developmental resources that aid in building a sustainable program to provide mentorship and improve the quality of Early Childhood Development. All of our teachers are CDA Certified or have earned their Associates Degree in Early Child Development. TSR schools are required to have lower stud

ent to teacher ratio, provide classroom guidelines, and developmental materials for hands on learning. This insures that the needs of our Preschool and Prekinder children in the program are met. Texas School Ready (TSR) provides Pecan Ranch with state accredited Big Day Curriculum for our PreKinder students. Toddler and Preschool students utilize Frog Street Curriculum. Big Day and Frog Street provide our teachers the tools and guidelines which are proven successful in early developmental skills. Pecan Ranch utilizes the Child Care Learning Institute program (CLI engage) allows Prekinder parents access online to view their child's development and offers one on one communication with his/her teacher. PreKinder student’s assessments are conducted throughout the school year and each child will graduate and move into a public/private school with a Kinder Ready Assessment Report.

Jumping right into fall with our pumpkin spice theme.

Faux coffee beans, pumpkin candy corn, and marshmallows make for such a fun sensory experience. Love how the kids got into character, taking orders and serving each other like little baristas. Activities like this not only spark imagination but also builds social skills, turn-taking, and early math concepts “2 marshmallows please".

Feeding toddlers requires a balance of patience and variety. Offer a range of healthy foods, including fruits, vegetables, proteins, and grains, in toddler-sized portions. Serve 3 meals and 2-3 snacks a day, as toddlers have smaller appetites. Encourage self-feeding to help them develop motor skills, and be patient with new foods—they may need several exposures before accepting them. Limit sugary snacks and drinks, focusing on water and milk instead. The goal is to create a positive mealtime environment that fosters healthy eating habits and encourages adventurous eating in the future.
