Kylee Wall, current Assistant Principal at Lake Highlands Elementary, has been selected as the new Principal of O. Henry Elementary beginning in the 2026–2027 school year. A dedicated educational leader with more than 20 years of experience serving students, staff, and families in Richardson ISD, Wall brings a student-centered approach and a strong commitment to creating inclusive, high-performing learning environments where every child can succeed.
As an emergent bilingual and fluent Mandarin Chinese speaker, Wall believes deeply in the transformative power of education and the importance of ensuring every student has access to meaningful opportunities. She is known for her warm, relationship-driven leadership style, operational expertise, and ability to cultivate school cultures where students and educators feel valued, supported, and empowered.
At Lake Highlands Elementary, Wall has helped lead key initiatives focused on strengthening instructional practices, improving student behavior systems, enhancing school culture, and supporting staff development. Through strategic interventions and proactive campus systems, she contributed to reducing office referrals, improving school climate, and boosting staff morale through meaningful recognition efforts and strong community partnerships. She also co-leads instructional leadership efforts, using student data to drive differentiated instruction and continuous academic growth.

In observance of Memorial Day, all Richardson ISD offices and campuses are closed today, Monday, May 25.

Not only a name change but a title change, we are so proud of our principal for being named the Executive Director of Multilingual Education for RISD!! Ms. Wills…now Mrs. Forshier will now not only be supporting the education of O. Henry Elementary students but all of the multilingual students in RISD!
Although, OHE will sincerely miss you, we are all so excited for you, the new adventure and the support you’ll be giving to all of RISD and its students!! No one deserves this more! 💚🩶

It's almost time for SUMMER!!☀️ 🍉 🌼

The last day of school is tomorrow, Friday May 22, which is an early release day for all campuses.

Elementary students will be released from school two hours ahead of their normal time, and secondary schools are on final exam schedule and early release times. Refer to your campus communications for details.

What a night to remember! 💫 Last night we celebrated our incredible 6th graders as they prepare to move on to middle school next year. We are so proud of each and every student and all they’ve achieved during their time at OHE. From laughter and dancing to little siblings proudly watching their older brother or sister celebrate this big milestone, it was such a special evening for everyone. 🎉💚 Congratulations, 6th grade — your next chapter is just beginning!
