Try creating space this week to:
✨ spend intentional one-on-one time with each child
✨ ask thoughtful questions and truly listen
✨ talk through difficult emotions and experiences together
✨ model honesty and vulnerability in age-appropriate ways

Play is not “just playing.” 💛

This week in our summer parenting series inspired by Habits of the Household, we’re focusing on the importance of play in childhood and family life.

Play helps children learn, grow, imagine, create, problem solve, and connect with others, but it also reflects something deeper: we were created for joy.

Some simple habits to try this week:
✨ read imaginative stories together
✨ say “yes” to playing with your child when you can
✨ give children opportunities for independent play and creativity
✨ make space for fun, wonder, laughter, and exploration

Not every moment of childhood needs to be structured to be productive. Sometimes the most meaningful growth happens while building forts, pretending, storytelling, and simply being together.

Some simple rhythms to try:
✨ prioritize regular date nights
