Interesting
Several animal sanctuaries on Hawaii’s Big Island are looking for volunteers under a work-trade model: free lodging in exchange for about 20 hours of work a week caring for rescued animals.
One current opening is a pig caretaker role at Selah’s Pig Sanctuary in Keaau, caring for pigs that were abandoned or mistreated. It’s not a paid job, and each sanctuary sets its own requirements and application process.
