Here's a quick vid to get any newbies started in home recording.

Gypsy scale Part2...lol. I used that scale to harmonize chords, which were better arpeggiated, stayed right at home on the bass, and chiseled out one version of a melody...It's pretty melodramatic. I incorporated the mpent and gypsy scales as a common meeting ground. Emulates my recent mood swings...lol!

Need a break from the ol' pentatonic?? lol. try this out. It's the gypsy scale. I targeted e as my root so the notes are e,f #,g,a #,b,c,d #,e...but if you use this interval pattern you can start it anywhere..W,h,m3,h,h,m3,h.

YOUR DAILY JAM! No idea why..but the synth line that comes in with the lead reminds me of Popeye crackin cans of spinach. lol. So the 1st part is A,B,D..A,B,E, and the chorus-y part with the lead is A,D,A,E. Simple+fun=less bored?(F pentatonic)

For anyone interested or just bored....-Intervals-
The space between notes
# of ½ steps Interval Name(s) Example
1 half step, ½ step, h C-C #
2 Whole step, W C-D
3 minor 3, m3 C-D #
4 Major 3, M3 C-E
5 Perfect 4, 4 C-F
6 Aug4, Dim 5 C-F #
7 Perfect 5, 5 C-G
8 minor 6, m6 C-G #
9 Major 6, M6 C-A
10 minor 7, m7 C-A #
11 Major 7, M7 C-B
12 Octave, 8 C-C
⦁ ½ step= 1 fret( 3rd fret to 4th fret) Whole step= 2 frets(3rd fret to 5th fret)
⦁ Note the use of capitol letter for Major, and lower case for minor(it’s a theme that will translate to other topics)
⦁ Aug=Augmented(to increase), Dim=Diminished(decrease)
⦁ Intervals are THE MOST BASIC building blocks- a solid foundation
* Other intervals can be created(synth, string bends, sitar, etc), but these will suffice for most situations on ALL common instruments.(guitar, piano, violin, brass, etc)
