This weekend was the annual conference. had three students audition and get the chance to experience something they had never done before. We had one student in the AL Show Choir and we had two in the AL Honor Choir. Congratulations!!!

The start of the upcoming school year is just about 8 weeks away for most Alabama school districts, but there are still plenty of unknowns. Local school superintendents are meeting with State Superintendent, Dr. Eric Mackey, learning for themselves his recommendations for the upcoming school year.

We had such a great weekend for the GHS Choral Department. We had a great Breakfast and Broadway performance on Friday where guests ate breakfast foods while listening to the GHS Jazz Band, soloists blew people away, and the choirs performed pieces from varies musicals. Saturday, one of our students performed at Solo and Ensemble and earned a superior rating. So very proud of my students and the drive and talent they possess.
