🌸🌼 Our Odd & Even Gardens are blooming! 🌼🌸

Mrs. Heath's Second graders put their math skills to work by creating their own gardens! Students chose two numbers, built each flower with the matching number of leaves, and then explored what happens when we add odd and even numbers together.

Every Wednesday before they head to the library, Ms. Santich’s second and third graders participate in a fun Book Club experience! 📚

Each student gets to share why they chose their library book, tell the class whether they would recommend it or not, and explain why. Then, their classmates get a chance to ask questions and share their thoughts.

The students absolutely love this activity! It’s wonderful to see our second and third graders working together, building confidence, practicing speaking and listening skills, and—most importantly—sharing their love of reading! ❤️📖

Our tiny scientists are using their five senses and diving core-first into today’s apple investigation. We observed our apples, measured our apples, counted how many seeds were in our apples, predicted whether our apples would sink or float in water, and then tested that prediction. Finally we used our sense of taste and ate our apples. It was a delicious day in kindergarten!

🇺🇸 Honoring Our First Responders!🇺🇸

Our PAL students took a walking field trip to Orange County Fire Authority Station 83 in honor of Patriot Day. They delivered snacks and heartfelt letters to the first responders as a small way of showing our appreciation for all they do to serve and protect our community.

Our sixth graders had an amazing day exploring ancient China at Bowers Museum! 🏺🇨🇳

Students learned about ancient Chinese culture and history as they explored pottery, clothing, and other fascinating artifacts. They also had the opportunity to create their own art project inspired by the culture they were studying.

What a wonderful way to bring history to life through hands-on learning and exploration! We are so proud of our curious and engaged sixth graders! ❤️
