TK and K had a fantastic pumpkin week! Our super scientists observed, measured, and tested our pumpkins.  Together, they discovered all the parts of a pumpkin, described the pumpkins using their five senses, and determined if the pumpkins would sink or float!

Trunk or treat at Wakeham!! We had games and trick or treating for our students, and they had so much fun! Some of our students were so creative with their costumes, and we love it when our staff joins in too! Check them out 🎃👻

Thank you to Lutenant Wimmer and Corporal Zmija with Heart for taking the time to visit our elementary school and share your love of reading with our students. Your presence not only inspired them but also helped them build a strong community connection. We truly appreciate your dedication to supporting our youth and fostering a positive relationship with law enforcement.

Here at Wakeham, we say no to drugs! Today, we wore our clothes backwards and our hair crazy! Just take a look at how creative our kids are!

Today at Wakeham, and with everyone else, we practiced for the big one! We talked about the things to do and not to do when an earthquake happens. Staff was refreshed on procedures. We take safety seriously here, but if take a look at the last picture, you'll see how great our team is with those smiles on their faces!

Earlier this week La Quinta High School visited Wakeham Elementary to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month. They did a wonderful Ballet Folklórico for our students to see. We encouraged our kids to take part in this celebration by wearing culturally appropriate attire and they did not disappoint. At Wakeham we take great pride in celebrating the diverse cultures represented at our school.

We are so proud here at Wakeham that we can help our community by having our monthly food bank. We partner with Second Harvest Food Bank, and we couldn't do this without them and our parent volunteers.
