VO Dismissal & Pick-Up Guidelines
Dismissal Time: 11:50 AM
Parking: Parking in the lot across the street and walking over to pick up students is strongly recommended.
Main Lot Exit: Right-turn ONLY when exiting the main parking lot.
Student Pick-Up: Look for your student's teacher's name sign outside on front lawn—students will meet you there. Students must checkout with teachers.
Always use designated crosswalks.
Normal dismissal time is 3:50 PM

We're looking forward to another great school year! Here are the meal prices for the 2026–2027 school year:

🥣 Student Meals (K–6)
• Breakfast: $2.50
• Lunch: $3.30

☕ Adult Meals
• Breakfast: $3.25
• Lunch: $5.25

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Parents & Guests: We'd love to have you join your student for lunch! Please call the school before 9:00 a.m. on the day you plan to eat with your child, and bring exact change when you arrive.

Attention Parents & Guardians

If you enrolled your child in Garden City Public Schools and did not select that bus transportation was needed, we ask that you please review the information below.

If your student qualifies for transportation because they:
• 🚌 Live 2.5 miles or more from their assigned school,
• 🚌 Receive curb-to-curb transportation, or
• 🚌 Are attending a different school because their neighborhood school and/or grade level was full.

If you did not request bus service during enrollment, please contact the USD 457 Transportation Department as soon as possible at 620-805-8750.

Providing this information now helps us finalize bus routes and ensure transportation is available for your student on the first day of school.

If you believe your child qualifies for transportation or have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out. We're happy to help!

Our Lost and Found at Victor Ornelas is currently overflowing with items looking for their owners! With the end of the school year today you will have a chance to claim them until tomorrow, we want to make sure these belongings find their way back home.
Parents, please feel free to stop by the school tomorrow to check the pile! If nothing is claimed they will be donated!
