The answers were a mix of hilarious, creative, and surprisingly accurate 🤣 our preschoolers definitely had us laughing!

❤️ Supporting One of Our Village Families ❤️
It is with heavy hearts that we share the heartbreaking news that one of the parents in our It Takes a Village Academy family has recently passed away unexpectedly. Our thoughts and prayers are with his daughter, Eloise, and their entire family during this incredibly difficult time.
He was truly one of the kindest and most supportive parents in our community, and we are deeply saddened for one of our very own students who is experiencing such a tremendous loss.

Our GSRP team and owner had an amazing few days at the Michigan AEYC Early Childhood Conference in Grand Rapids! MIAEYC is Michigan’s affiliate of the National Association for the Education of Young Children and is dedicated to supporting and advancing high-quality early childhood education across the state.

Over three days of sessions and trainings, we had the opportunity to learn new ideas, strategies, and best practices that we are excited to bring back to our classrooms at It Takes a Village Academy. Investing in professional development helps us continue to provide the highest quality learning experiences for the children in our care.

One of the highlights of the conference was meeting Sonia Manzano, the actress who played Maria on Sesame Street! It was such a special moment for our team and a reminder of the lasting impact early childhood educators can have on children.

We’re excited to bring everything we learned back to our center and continue growing for our students and families! ✨📚🍎

We had the cutest mini Valentine’s Day photoshoot at the center today and our little sweethearts absolutely stole the show! ❤️📸
From big smiles to tiny giggles, the love and joy in our classrooms made this day extra special. We are so grateful to celebrate friendship, kindness, and all the beautiful personalities that make our village so amazing.

Our little explorers had the BEST time diving into hands-on learning at the Ann Arbor Hands-On Museum!
From experimenting and building to splashing, creating, and discovering — every exhibit sparked curiosity and excitement. Watching their faces light up as they figured things out on their own is exactly why we love what we do. 💛

🚌✨ Field Trip Fun at the Ann Arbor Hands-On Museum! ✨🧠
Today our scholars had an unforgettable adventure at the Ann Arbor Hands-On Museum! 🎉
From exploring interactive science exhibits to engaging in hands-on discovery, our children were able to learn through play in the best way possible. 🔬💡 They experimented with water flow, built creative structures, explored motion and energy, and used their curiosity to ask BIG questions!
At our center, we believe learning goes beyond the classroom. Field trips like this:
✔️ Strengthen critical thinking skills
✔️ Encourage teamwork and problem-solving
✔️ Build confidence in new environments
✔️ Make learning exciting and memorable
We are so proud of how well our children represented our center — respectful, curious, and eager to learn! 💛
