Buff Robotics

Buff Robotics is a club at Garden City High School which focuses on hands-on projects and exploring the diverse field of engineering.

One of the primary goals of Buff Robotics is to apply the concepts learned in math and science classes to real world engineering challenges. At Buff Robotics we know how diverse the field engineering is, we welcome students with a variety of interests and goals to explore what robotics and engineering is all about.

T-13 days till our first club meeting. Thursday the 13th and Friday the 14th we will set up our season and get ready for Rocks & Rockets. Here we go buffs!

BEST kicks off on Sept 14th and we have lots to prepare before that.

Isn't it time for more western KS teams to represent? We are happy to help any schools in our area get started! If our followers know any outside schools please send them our way.

Planning for the 2026 BEST Byte to Bite season is already underway, and we are excited to welcome teams back for another year of creativity, teamwork, and competition.

To our returning teams, we cannot wait to see you again this fall and encourage you to register early as preparations continue for the upcoming season.

Congratulations Mr. Glass! We are so proud of you!

Please join us in celebrating two outstanding educators as Region 1 Kansas Teacher of the Year finalists.

Alayna Mancillas, a preschool teacher in Ulysses USD 214 , creates engaging early learning experiences that spark curiosity and a love of school.

Scott Glass, a high school chemistry and engineering teacher in Garden City USD 457 , challenges students to think deeply, solve problems and apply their learning in meaningful ways.
