ADELPHI UNIVERSITY SUMMER DANCE INTENSIVE
Thank you for your interest in Adelphi University's Summer 2013 Dance Intensive program July 21- Aug 11. Our three week dance intensive will focus on the study of ballet and modern dance technique and offers additional classes in pointe, repetoire, pas de deux, Classical Spanish Dance, Pilates, gyrotonics, yoga, anatomy, and health and wellness for dancers. We offer both a residential and commuter option. The cost for the program includes room and board, (meals for commuting students ) and 2-3 trips to New York City to see American Ballet Theater at the MET , Pilobolus at the Joyce Theater, Cirque de Soleil or a Broadway Show and all evening and weekend activities.
Auditions are held every Sunday Feb 17-April 28 at 10am by appointment . Prospective students will audition by taking class with our year round Sunday high school intensive students The audition consists of a ballet class and a modern technique class. Audition classes take place in the Performing Arts Center on Adelphi's campus. You may also choose to audition by sending an audition DVD demonstrating ballet barre and center work as well as a 1-3 minute solo. Auditions are held any Sunday Feb-May at 10am by appointment by taking class with our year round Sunday high school intensive students.
