🌎 MEET THE 2022-2023 LGSSLC E-BOARD 🌎

First up, we have Megan Masilungan, our Community Outreach Officer, who is also heading the Food Recovery Initiative this year!

“Hi, my name is Megan and I’m currently a senior political science major. Besides LGS, I’m involved in Phi Mu, I’m the Public Relations officer of the Newman Club, and I work as a Commuter Assistant.
LGS has been one of the most transformative experiences of my Adelphi experience; it’s opened up many doors and I’ve met many people of diverse backgrounds and different majors from my own.”

It’s officially move in time and we’re right around the start of another academic year!

We wanted to give out a big welcome to the incoming Class of 2026 joining the Levermore Global Scholars program! Please stay tuned as we post about our Student Leadership Council first meeting information, as well as our Executive Board and other updates on upcoming events and LGS opportunities!

Please join us tomorrow in our fundraiser Carnations for Ukraine💙 We will be accepting any donations that can be made. We will be hosting a table in the UC Lobby from 11-3pm tomorrow. Thank you in advance for all of your support on this important cause💛

Carnations will also be available before our LGS End of the Year Dinner Celebration tomorrow evening!

This Thursday May 5th at 6pm in the UC Ballroom 201 we are hosting our annual LGS End of the Year Dinner Celebration! Alumni, faculty and administrators are all welcome to join us! Please be sure to RSVP via the Google form! If you need the link or have any questions please let us know!

From February-April we collected and donated:
-nearly 700 units of food surplus from Adelphi dining halls
-worth $2,426.09
-saved 103.4 CO2E
- & saved 86,532 gallons of water

✨And we aren’t done yet! Interested in volunteering for the last coming weeks of this semester? DM or email us! Meeting are on Tuesday from 3:00-4:15pm.

We’re so excited to have you all join us this Saturday for our last trip of the semester to the Museum of the City of New York! Transportation and museum admission are included for all LGS students! If you have any questions at all please reach out!🌃🍎
