“I am excited to pursue a PhD in synthetic organic chemistry at the University of Georgia and plan to apply the skills and expertise I’ll have developed there to a career in industry. Two pieces of advice I would share with someone just beginning their undergraduate career are to take full advantage of every resource and opportunity available to you and to be open-minded regarding your future career path. You never know what you may end up doing!”

Ashley Kreth ’26 earned her chemistry degree in three years. Now she is a National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellow and a PhD candidate in chemistry at the University of Georgia. Congratulations, Ashley!

Congratulations to 10 Under 10 honoree Andrew Jacobson ’20, MS ’21!

Andrew saw Adelphi’s ability to develop students as leaders through his older sister's experience as an Adelphi graduate. He made the opportunity his own as a finance student in the Robert B. Willumstad School of Business, an Honors College scholar, a saxophonist in the Jazz Ensemble, and a tutor in the Learning and Writing Center.

Today, as supervisor, corporate finance, at Northwell, Andrew performs financial modeling and analytics related to insurance reimbursement across Northwell’s hospitals. He continues to make space for the interests and relationships that enriched his Adelphi experience, including regularly returning to Adelphi to perform with the Jazz Ensemble.

Congratulations to 10 Under 10 honoree Hira Javed ’16, MS ’18, JD!

Hira built the intellectual foundation for a wide-ranging legal career at Adelphi, where her studies in languages, literatures, cultures and biology encouraged her to stay curious and approach problems from different perspectives. She recently entered public service as a federal judicial law clerk in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, a position that allows her to experience law and litigation from the court’s perspective. Adelphi celebrates her as a 2026 10 Under 10 honoree for the persistence and intellectual curiosity behind her legal career, as well as her commitment to using her skills in service to colleagues, clients and neighbors.
