We are Licensed by the State of Idaho that only requires you to pass a background check we can help assist you with. We do NOT require a Boise city childcare license.

Skills:

Duties include but are not limited to:

* Diaper changing

*Cleaning/sanitizing daily

Welcome to Tatertots Academy! We are currently searching for amazing talent to join our dynamic team of Co-Teachers here in Garden City. If you feel you are a kind, passionate and loving soul, then WE WANT YOU to join our Family! We are friendly, vibrant and compassionate about what we do. We pride ourselves on fostering a fundamental shift in thinking that empowers all adults and children to be the change they want to see in our community. We value our Teachers (Co-Parents) and offer opportunities to be rewarded for outstanding performance on a monthly basis.
All Co-Parents are offered daily lunch breaks (1 hour) and additional 15-minute mini breaks offered through-out the day. We even have an onsite quiet room available for our Co-Teachers to nap, meditate, read, participate in self-guided yoga or just RELAX in. We know the importance of offering decompression time and make it a priority to acknowledge everyone’s individual mental health and wellbeing. Co-Teachers are also offered 11 paid Holidays (including Veteran's Day, Black Friday, Christmas Eve, and New Year’s Eve) paid vacation at 1-year anniversary & flexible scheduling for part time and full-time schedules! NO WEEKENDS! Monday-Friday hours ranging from 7-5.
Throughout the year we offer many off site employee retreats to build relationships and rejuvenate everyone from their toes to their tierras! This includes our annual out of town retreat to be pampered by the best! Everything we do to show our appreciation for our Co-Parents are encouraged and supported by the families enrolled at our school.

Our Teacher’s aka “Co-Parents” also qualify for a monthly wage enhancement of $300 IN ADDITION of hourly pay. Pay range $13-up
We are honored to be recognized as a STEP 3 Idaho Stars QUALITY environment that creates a compassionate culture that is safe, providing strategies for responding to each child's individual needs with wisdom and nurturing relationships. Our classrooms are intentionally designed to encourage and empower children with their social emotional development and self-regulation skills. Within our classrooms you will find a "quiet feelings area/house" to help children when having BIG feelings, sensory tables for curiosity and exploration, a Block center & Manipulative table for building problem-solving skills, Dramatic Play for children to foster individual decision-making & roll play, and grow independence with self-sufficiency skills through self-care routines.
You will need:
* A smile and good sense of humor, with the desire to make our school as special as Disney Land every day!
* A good sense of when it’s appropriate to be goofy & when it is time to be genuine (Remember children are learning by your example).
* The ability to learn how to navigate our classroom Ipads and KidReports App. Knowing how to capture precious moments is a MUST.

Co-Parent Responsibilities:
*Attend and participate in staff meetings and trainings that include team bonding games that leave us all laughing.
*Encourage & collaborate with fellow Co-Parents & our Management Team- this is not limited to Shenanigans and Silly pranks ;)
*Meet the Social needs of every child: Helping a child share their car with a friend so they can race their cars on a track together
* Meet the Emotional needs of every child: Acknowledging a child when you notice they’re crying and meeting them where they are at. First by giving hugs, helping with breath work, or just being there in the moment with them. Then later, when the child is calm and in an executive brain state to process the feelings, they just experienced, and talking with them about coping and communicating. (This process looks different depending on age group)
* Meet the Cognitive needs of every child: Counting how many goldfish at snack each child has, what color goldfish do they have, and if you eat two goldfish, how many are left?
*Meet the Physical needs of every child: Taking a “Race Break” when friends seem wiggly and have them run like Spiderman or Elsa around the track on the Playground.
