This came from a parent whose family has been with us, and it stopped us in our tracks. 💛

Families staying with us across years and across children is the highest compliment we get. It means we earned it more than once.

If you're looking for a place your family can stay for the long haul, we'd love to meet you.

Call (734) 469-2297.

The rooms are ready. We're just waiting on a few more little learners. 💛

Fall enrollment is open across every program. Toddlers, Young Preschool, Preschool, 4-Year-Old GSRP, and School-Age Before & After Care with transportation available.

Open 6:15 AM to 6:30 PM, Monday through Friday, year-round. Meals and snacks included. Brightwheel updates so you're never wondering how the day is going.

If you've been putting off the decision, now is the moment. Spots go quickly in the last two weeks of August.

Call (734) 469-2297 or email us to set up a tour this week.

"How was your day?" gets you "good." Every time. 💛

Try these instead.

The trick is asking about a specific moment instead of the whole day. A whole day is too big to summarize when you're five. One moment they can actually find.

Also worth knowing: a lot of kids need 20 or 30 minutes of quiet before they're ready to talk at all. The car ride home isn't always the window. Dinner or bedtime often is.

Save this one for the first week back.

A whole summer has flown by!

Look at what these campers did. Field trips, arts & crafts, games, and Water days that nobody wanted to end.

Summer Camp is the kind of thing kids remember for years, and we get a front row seat to all of it.

Three and four year olds ask about 300 questions a day. We answer every one we can. 🎨

Our Preschool classroom is built for that age exactly. Kids this age are figuring out letters, counting everything in sight, negotiating who gets the blue marker, and telling stories that go on for ten minutes with no clear ending.

All of it is development. The block tower is engineering. The argument over the marker is social skills. The long rambling story is language.

Our teachers know how to meet a 3-year-old where they are and gently move them forward, without rushing the part where childhood is supposed to be fun.

Fall spots are open for ages 3 to 4. Call (734) 469-2297 for a tour.

What does "kindergarten ready" actually mean? 🏫

It's less about knowing every letter and more about being able to sit for a story, ask for help, share a table, follow a two-step direction, and handle a hard moment without falling apart.

That's the work happening in our GSRP classroom every day. The letters and numbers come too, but the readiness underneath is what makes the first year of school go well.

GSRP is our state-funded Pre-K for 4-year-olds, tuition-free for families who qualify. Taught by credentialed educators in the same building your family already trusts.

Fall spots are limited. Call (734) 469-2297 and we'll check your eligibility together.

Some kids run through the door on day one. Some cry. Some don't say a word until pickup. All of it is normal. 💛

There's a lot of pressure to have a child who's thrilled about the first day, and it can feel like something's wrong when yours isn't. Nothing is wrong. Big transitions bring up big feelings, and a nervous kid is usually just a kid paying attention.

What helps: naming the feeling out loud instead of talking them out of it. "You seem nervous. That makes sense, it's new." Keep goodbyes short and confident. Long ones make it harder, even though it feels kinder.

And the child who sobs at drop-off is very often the one laughing by 9:15. We see it every single week.

Did you know? 💡

Children who attend quality Pre-K are significantly more likely to arrive at kindergarten ready in language, math, and social skills. And the gap doesn't close on its own. Kids who start ahead tend to stay ahead.

That's not a reason to panic. It's a reason to know that the year before kindergarten matters more than most people realize.

It's also why our GSRP and Preschool classrooms look the way they do. Structured but playful, with credentialed teachers who know what a 4-year-old needs to be ready.

Fall spots are still open.

Summer bedtimes have gotten away from all of us. Here's the gentle way back. 💛

Start now, not the night before school. Move bedtime earlier by 15 minutes every two or three days. A full hour shifted all at once turns into a battle. Fifteen minutes barely registers.

A few other things that help:
-Practice the morning routine once or twice before it counts.
-Let them pick out clothes the night before.
-Move dinner back to where it'll be during the school year.

And go easy on yourself if it takes a couple of weeks. It usually does.

Our before care opens at 6:15 AM if those early mornings are the hard part.

Toddlers are tiny scientists, and their lab is the whole room. 👶

Ages 1 to 2 is a season of firsts. First steps into a room without holding your hand. First words that aren't just for you. First time putting a toy away because they wanted to, not because someone asked.

Our toddler rooms are built for exactly that. Low child-to-caregiver ratios so every little one gets real attention. Creative arts, language building, sensory play, and a daily routine that helps them feel safe enough to be brave.

Come see a toddler room in action.
