GCCC HALO HALO was founded by Lydia Gonzales in 1977, formerly known as Chicano Students United.

The Hispanic American Leadership Organization(HALO) exists to nurture and encourage the leadership skills of young Hispanic men and women. HALO promotes Hispanic leadership within our culture and community by pursuing higher education. HALO offers the opportunity to participate in social, economic, and political issues.
