Sept 2, 1998 was the 1st class of Dragon Heart Tang Soo Do. 28 years later we are going strong and moving forward! Thank you community for supporting us and allowing me to share my passion!

Another highlight of our Masters. This young lady started training at 3 years old and has never stepped away. She started helping with the little dragons, 3-5 yr olds, as a blue belt and 10 yrs old herself. She now teaches that class regularly. She helps me at the remote school we teach at in the mountains every Tuesday during the school year. She teaches the kids class regularly with or without me haha. She will take over the adult class when I’m not there or assist when needed. All this for Tang Soo Do! BUT she’s also a trained certified firefighter 🔥 she’s a talented artist and poet. Everyone who meets her loves her because she’s a genuinely nice person. Congratulations Master Evie Dowd!

This has been a long, sometimes difficult journey. Every one of these people has given to others readily with a joy in their heart. They train hard and always volunteer for whatever needs to be done. I’m so proud of them all and can’t imagine my journey without them. Don’t mistake kindness for weakness or silence for acceptance. Dragon Heart is flourishing and joyful again.
