At Bright Star Academy, we envision that our children are able to become future leaders by being active participants in, and shapers of, their world; to grow cognitively, socially, emotionally and globally though child-based and teacher facilitated learning. Philosophy
Bright Star Academy, LLC believes that play is a child’s work and that learning occurs during developmentally appropriate, child-centered activities. They acquire knowledge through the active exploration of their environment. Consequently, it is the teacher’s responsibility to provide a learning-enriched environment, which provides stimulating and challenging experiences for them. The teacher then acts as a facilitator: encouraging, promoting and reinforcing a child’s attempts, questions, skill development, and discoveries. Bright Star Academy, LLC strives to prepare your child for their future educational needs with respect to their own individuality and pace. Bright Star Academy, LLC also strives to provide a coordinated and progressive program of services, which is responsive to the needs of individual children. Goals
The early years are critical to a child’s later success in learning. The following are goals Bright Star Academy shall strive to achieve:

- Incorporate each child’s interest and the events
that make up their lives in the daily activities to
foster learning and problem-solving skills.
- Offer a variety of developmentally appropriate
activities to meet children’s individual needs and
learning styles.
- Provide a team of early childhood educators with
knowledge and experience in teaching young
children.
- Promote active involvement of parents in our
program. Curriculum
The main curriculum that will be used at Bright Star Academy is Frog Street. Frog Street is a comprehensive, research-based program that integrates instruction across developmental domains and early learning disciplines. The program is engaging for both teachers and children and is easy to implement! The cornerstones of the program include an extensive integration of theme, disciplines, and domains, Social and Emotional development, differentiated instruction, equity of English and Spanish materials and instruction and a joyful approach to learning.
