TASSP Conference Spotlight 🌟

Ball’s Principals proudly presented at this year’s Texas Association for Secondary School Principals Conference, sharing practical strategies for building a positive and supportive campus environment. Their session focused on creating a successful Hospitality (Sunshine) Committee and implementing simple, effective ways to strengthen staff morale and boost campus culture. Attendees entered dancing 💃 🕺 to receive a ticket 🎟️, played a game of rock, paper, scissors, and left with a chance to win a prize 🏆, take back actionable ideas to foster connection, appreciation, and a thriving school community.

Principal Mr. Pillar, Assistant Principal Mrs. Canak, Associate Principal Ms. Wilcox, and Assistant Principal Mrs. Tapani are spending the week at the Texas Association of Secondary School Principals (TASSP) Summer Conference in Dallas. Through collaboration, professional learning, and leadership development, they are gaining valuable insights and strategies to strengthen student achievement, support staff success, and continue fostering excellence within their school community.

The Ball High School National Honor Society has officially surpassed ✨10,000 volunteer hours✨during the 2025–2026 school year!

Our members have dedicated their time to fighting food insecurity, supporting local events, mentoring youth, caring for animals, preserving community history, promoting environmental stewardship, and serving neighbors across Galveston.

We are incredibly proud of these students and the difference they continue to make every day. Congratulations, NHS! ✨
