I was reviewing an early SM today and was told, "...only added a few wires."

Do yourself a favor: if your Amel has any wiring added, ensure that it is the correct wire size, type, color, and installed correctly. This Amel cannot be certified, and frankly, someone would probably condemn it.

Hire an electrician, or study marine codes if you plan to do this yourself. Sooner or later, you will need to sell your Amel, and someone, maybe me, may review her for the buyer. If this is how your boat looks, I doubt anyone will buy it.

When the probable electric fire starts, hopefully, nobody will be harmed.

• AI assistant in the Online Amel Book: The assistant currently searches the complete text of the 400-page Online Amel Book. All questions and answers are in English, with an auto-translate feature planned for a future update. The AI is limited to the content of the Online Amel Book. Some questions you will ask will likely be answered with, "The text does not provide explicit information on..." If you are familiar with my Amel Book Supplements, you know that to answer most of your questions, AI must read all 7,000 Supplement files. I am working on this.
• Amel Book Supplements: Please note that the AI assistant for the nearly 7,000 Amel Book Supplement files is a separate project currently in development and is not yet available.

3. Click the Online Amel Book image (third from the top) and use freetrial as the password again.
4. Agree to the terms to load the book and begin using the AI Assistant.
5. You will see Supplement Files Search at the bottom of the CLIENT ACCESS page. The freetrial password does not give you access to this.

For the best user experience, I recommend using a tablet or a larger screen.

I am confident this new feature will greatly enhance your use and exploration of the Amel Book. I welcome your feedback as I continue to improve my offerings.

I have attached two AI questions I posed to the AI assistant in the Online Amel Book this morning. There was insufficient data to answer the first entirely, and AI responded, "...[the book] does not provide explicit information..." However, AI directed me to go to page 292. I was impressed by the answer to my second question.

Sometime in the last 4 years Amel changed the size of the C-drive Wear Bushing O-ring from 39,5X3 to 39,5X2.5. We have been unable to get an answer of when and why. If you own a SN, SM, 54, or 55, you should make note of this. I just updated my Online Amel Book, Amel Book Supplements, and Amel drawings.

Between December 24 and January 1, I would like to share a few things with you. I hope you'll find something that can help you.

Online Amel Book: This is an operation and maintenance reference guide for many Amel models. Much of the content is about Amel Super Maramus, with considerable content on Amel 54 and Amel 55. There is also enough content on Amel 50 to be worthwhile. Likewise, the owners of older Amels will see many things similar to their models and the Amel Book. The Amel Book differs from the Amel Owners Manual or Amel Users Guide.

Preferred Vendor Discounts: Purchase discounts for our clients include sails, rigging, pumps, critical engine parts, membranes, yacht transport, and others. The discounts range from at least 5% up to 20%. Yacht School is not affiliated with these vendors and receives no commission or referral. I leveraged the size of our client base to negotiate discounts for you and you alone. A client recently saved thousands over his best prices from other sources.

Supplements File Index: This is an online index book of over 6,500 Supplement Files. The Supplement Files are available for viewing or downloading. Most of these are "How To" files that I have created, sometimes with the help of other Amel owners. As new information becomes available, I update the files in the Cloud. You will likely receive new and updated information if you downloaded a particular file a year ago, and new information becomes available by clicking on the same file name.

Supplement File Search: Powered by Google, this will SEARCH the 6,500 files I store in the cloud using a keyword or phrase. These files include over 1100 How-To Files created by Bill Rouse and some with the help of expert Amel owners. Most of these files include instructions and photos. Included in your search are all Amel Manuals and Manufacturer Manuals of Devices installed by Amel.
