Texas A&M University at Galveston Sailing Team

A season to remember! TAMUG was able to have a 3 regatta win streak. Our team showed determination not only through our scores, but our persistence to keep the sport of sailing alive at TAMUG. After our old dock was deemed unsafe to use. We built a brand new one, sacrificing practice time and studying time. we overcame every obstacle that was thrown at us this year. We hope to keep the momentum going into next season, as always

TAMUG tied for first at the McCarthy cup in Austin, we had a blast and looking forward to champs in April. Thank you for hosting!

2026 H.K was a blast, thank you to everyone who competed and helped make this regatta possible. We hosted fierce competition with teams traveling from California, Florida, and New York to sail on Clear Lake. Our Team fought hard to secure a 3rd place, with first and second being only a 4 point difference. The racing could not have been any closer and we are thankful for these photos taken by Kaitlynn Duncan.

Our team has been working effortlessly to get our new dock built, and ready for another great year of sailing. In the meantime the Harris Kempner Memorial regatta will be hosted at Lakewood Yacht Club, Feb 7-8. We look forward to having such fierce competition from multiple districts as well, and can’t wait to be on the water with all of you!

Today, our team members participated in the annual Big Event, the largest student led service day in the country! We are extremely grateful to be able to give back to the Galveston community

All students are welcome to join us this Tuesday as we host our first movie night of the semester!

Our team had a fantastic time at the Offshore Intercollegiate Regatta hosted by Storm Trysail Club and Larchmont YC last weekend!!! Thank you to boat owner Chip Weiss for letting us sail on Avocet! It has been an honor to be the first team from Texas to compete at this regatta!
