Dr. Alan Barrett, Director of the Sealy Institute for Vaccine Sciences at the University of Texas Medical Branch, wrote an article in the News and Views section of Nature on the modified version of a vaccine that could make eradicating polio globally a real possibility.

Modified polio vaccines might aid efforts to eradicate the disease.

Respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) is a respiratory virus that can cause some children to become very sick and have trouble breathing.

If you are around an infant or young child, especially those born prematurely, are very young, have chronic lung or heart disease, or a weakened immune system, take extra care to protect them from RSV:
