WEATHER UPDATE | TROPICAL STORM EDOUARD

Aggies, we’re keeping an eye on Tropical Storm Edouard as it moves toward the Texas coast.

For the Galveston area, rain is expected to be the biggest impact, along with periods of gusty wind.

A few reminders:
• Keep an eye on weather updates and campus alerts from university Sea Aggie Alerts and official university resources. 
• Bring in or secure anything outside that could blow away. 
• Avoid driving or walking through flooded areas. 
• Charge your phone and keep it nearby. 
• Have your Aggie ID with you.

We’ll continue to monitor conditions and share updates as needed but the university main page is the most accurate and realizable source.

We are READY to welcome you home!

A huge THANK YOU to our incredible student cadets and church volunteers who are out here serving with smiles, strong arms, and servant hearts!

From unloading cars to offering directions, cold drinks, and a helping hand, they’re helping make move-in day a little easier and a whole lot more welcoming.

We’re so excited to welcome our Aggies home and kick off another year at TAMUG!

Today, we welcomed more of our Sea Aggies home!

A huge THANK YOU to all of our amazing volunteers who showed up, jumped in, carried boxes, answered questions, helped families, brought the energy, and made our newest Sea Aggies feel right at home.

Thanks to our families for your patience as we continue to navigate all the challenges that this move-in has brought us. Our team maybe wearing the jerseys but you guys are the true MVPs.

Thank you to everyone who helped make our first move-in weekend for Corps of Cadets O-Week a success!

We appreciate the teamwork and energy from staff, volunteers, cadets, and families. With more move-in dates ahead, we can’t wait to welcome you!

Move-in tips:
Bring moving carts. We have some of these grey ones but they can go fast.
Pack essentials on top for easy access.
Bring water and snacks to stay energized.

To help meet the demand for on-campus housing this year, some suites in TAMMA Hall will house six residents instead of four.

Here’s the breakdown:

🛏️ 2 bedrooms per suite
👥 3 students in each bedroom
🚿 2 bathrooms per suite
🏡 6 residents total

You’ll still enjoy the same suite-style living while becoming part of a larger community.

Stay informed about important deadlines, room/roommate selection, housing shortages, waitlist info, and off-campus options at Texas A&M Galveston.

Room selection: If you met the April 1 deadline, selection opens soon!

Roommates: Both must have applied by April 1 to match.

Shortage & Waitlist: Construction, increased enrollment, and limited beds may impact housing.

Other Options: Explore off-campus resources if you missed the deadline.
