Last night’s Top 50 Ceremony was truly special. It was an honor to celebrate and recognize some of the finest students and teachers in Galveston.
We’d like to take a moment to thank everyone who helped make our 50th Year Celebration and Top 50 Ceremony such a huge success.
A special thank you to Reverend Becky Downs from First Presbyterian Church, for the touching invocation and benediction. We are also grateful to Dr. Majka Woods from UTMB Health for warmly welcoming all of our special guests.
Thank you to Bob Brown, from the City of Galveston,City Council District 3, for reading the proclamation declaring May 12, 2026, as “Top 50 Day” in Galveston.
And finally, a heartfelt thank you to our motivational guest speaker, Dennis Byrd, owner of The Spot Restaurant, for sharing such an inspiring message with our students — encouraging them to continue striving to do their best every day and to never let go of their dreams.
We are incredibly thankful to everyone who helped make this milestone celebration so memorable for our students, teachers, families, and community. ❤️
