Congratulations Boys team for your tri-meet victory vs. South High School and West High School this past Tuesday. The girls team got a victory over West at this meet. We compete next at Franklin Heights vs. Reynoldsburg High School this coming Wednesday. We have to hold our home meets at Franklin Heights because they can seat more fans there than we can at Westland.

Track&Field: Also for parents heading to the meet tonight at Heights, I was just informed that Heights is charging an entry fee at the gate for spectators. I don't know how much they are charging so be prepared if you are coming to the meet tonight.

Just a reminder that track will be working at OSU tomorrow (12-30) starting at 8:00 a.m. (gate 10) to uninstall seatbacks. Coach Eckard will pay you $50.00 toward your track pay to play for everyone that works for you.

Attention all athletes who plan on running track this year. On Saturday, December 17th track will be working at OSU in Ohio Stadium (aka the horseshoe) removing installed seatbacks, We will start at 8:00 a.m. and work until approximately 3:00 p.m. Coach Eckard will pay you (and whoever works with you) $50.00 towards your track pay to play fee. If you would like to sign up to work, there are a few spots open to sign up for. The sign-up sheet is on the wall outside of room 801.

Back to School BBQ at JP's - Bolton Field. Balloon Lifts, Live Music and Airplane Rides ... all proceeds benefit Success Beyond the Classroom which helps to offset pay-to-participate fees for numerous students across district. All are welcome!

Two South-Western City School District support organizations are joining forces for a Back to School BBQ fundraiser.

As many of you have heard Westland Athletic Boosters has an opportunity for you to help earn money towards your pay to participate fees and to help the Cougar Track program. If you like to work, hang out at Ohio Stadium and get a head start on meeting new and former teammates, this opportunity is for you.
