The Westland High School Marching Band is kicking off our New Uniform Drive and we need YOUR support! After 18-20 years, it’s time to update our uniforms and give our talented students the fresh look they deserve! ✨

Our goal is to raise $30,000 by spring of 2025, and we can't do it without YOU! Every donation brings us closer to outfitting our band members in sleek, bold new uniforms that will help them shine on the field and in the stands.

The Westland Marching Band is STATE BOUND!!!

There will be two chances to see this year’s competitive marching show “All Aboard” this week.

The Marching Cougars will be performing at the South-Western City School District Marching Band Showcase on October 22nd at 7:00 p.m. This is a great way to see the bands from each of the SWCSD high schools!

The Cougars will then take the field at Hilliard Bradley High School for their OMEA State Marching Band Competition. The band performs on October 26th at 2:00 p.m.

Congratulations to WHS Choir Director Mr. Jeff Rone for being selected as the Columbus Symphony Orchestra’s Secondary Educator Award recipient for 2024! Mr. Rone’s career at Westland spans over a decade of teaching music and impacting the lives of his students. We at Westland cannot think of a more deserving educator!

The award will officially be presented at the Columbus Symphony’s concert on May 4th, but the surprise announcement was made during class today.

Congratulations Mr. Rone!

The Westland Jazz Ensemble played in downtown Columbus in the lobby of the Rhodes State Office Tower to spread some holiday cheer!

The band was selected for this opportunity by the Ohio Music Education Association.

After they performed, students toured the Ohio Statehouse and learned about the history of our state!
