Which spot would you choose? 💙🍎

At Start Smart Learning Center, we believe quality childcare should still be affordable for families.

In 2025, our local market-rate survey found Start Smart to be the most affordable childcare option among the centers surveyed, while also having the highest quality rating ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ And we work hard to keep it that way—without sacrificing quality. 💪

As a CACFP provider, EVERY child who walks through our doors receives breakfast, lunch AND snack at no additional cost, every single day! 🥛🍇

And mealtime is about more than eating! Our kiddos make choices, serve themselves, try new foods and discover different flavors, all while building independence and confidence.

Quality food. Quality childcare. Affordable care. 💙

Now the only question is…
which spot will your little one choose? 🪑✨

🔥 It’s Fire Safety Week! 🔥

We had a very special visit at our Gallitzin site today from some of our favorite firefighters! ❤️ The kids were SO excited.

They got to learn about important fire safety, watch Andrew get all dressed up in his firefighter gear, and even check out the firetruck! 🚒👨‍🚒

A BIG shout-out to Greg, Andrew, and Dave from the Gallitzin Fire Company for taking the time to visit us and teach our little ones about staying safe. We appreciate you more than you know! ❤️

Tiny humans. BIG learning. 🧠💛

Circle time may look simple (Mary and Kim think so), but these everyday moments are building early language, attention, social-emotional skills, communication, and a love of learning from the very beginning. 📚✨

Their future starts with the experiences we give them today. 💛

So, what are you waiting for? 🥰

We need to make some more room for activities and stacking just isn’t working anymore…

We have several twin beds available…a few are complete sets with the frame, headboard, and mattress, and we also have some miscellaneous bed frames/mattresses.

Before we get rid of anything, we’d love to see them go to someone who could truly use them. If you know of any local organizations, families, or individuals in need of beds, please reach out!

🚒❤️ Happiest Birthday to “our” Firefighter Greg Patterson 🎉

We are so lucky to have you as such an important part of the Start Smart Crew! Our kiddos absolutely love your visits, and we are so thankful for the time you take each month to teach them lessons about fire safety, being brave, and helping others. 🧑‍🚒

Help us wish Firefighter Greg a VERY Happy Birthday! 🎂 And if you’d like to show him a little extra birthday love, consider purchasing one of his books! 📚 His books are inspired by the same important lessons he shares with our kiddos each month—and they’re available on Amazon!
