🎨 Process Art vs. Product Art 🎨

In early childhood, the process is often more important than the final product! Process art allows children to explore, create, experiment, and express themselves freely without focusing on a specific outcome. Product art follows step-by-step directions to create a finished piece that looks a certain way.

Both have value, but process art helps build creativity, problem-solving skills, confidence, and a love of learning. Sometimes the paint covered hands, creative choices and joyful exploration are the real masterpieces!

We love that children are given the opportunity to attend, engage and follow direction in product art but for us the real magic happens in the mess. It’s always so much fun to see what these little hands can come up with.

This week we celebrated our amazing teachers at French City Academy!

Thank you to our childcare teachers and staff for the patience, love, creativity, and care you pour into each child every single day. The work you do matters more than words can express, and we are so grateful for the safe, nurturing environment you create for our little learners.

Thank you to our parents for letting our staff know how valued they are as such an important part of your little one’s life.

You are appreciated today and every day!

Circle time with toddlers is all about connection, not perfection đź’›

Through songs, movement, short stories, and simple conversations, toddlers build language, social skills, and confidence. You might see them sitting, standing, wiggling, or wandering—and that’s okay!

Circle time may look simple, but it’s actually supporting development across multiple domains at once—through play, repetition, and connection.

Some days circle time last longer than others but every day it’s fun!

Our preschool group completed their Creative Curriculum Wheels Study. 🚲🚗🛞 Enjoy some highlights from their weeks of wheels.

During this study, children dove into the world of things that roll, move, and go! From bikes and buses to gears and ramps, they explored how wheels work through play, investigation, and creativity. They’re not just playing they’re building critical thinking skills, problem solving, and early STEM understanding.

The Wheels Study encourages curiosity, teamwork, and real-world connections—turning everyday objects into powerful learning opportunities.

Learning in motion, every single day đź’›
