Here’s today’s post for our site, plus a region standing pick. Check it and make sure I’m right.

Ok cranking back up after a week off, so let’s catch everyone up on where things sit in the standing in our region. While everyone was disappointed following the loss two weeks ago at Mt. Juliet, the good news is there is still a path forward to winning this region, or to finishing second. Yes, it will involve help from other teams, and it’s a lot to type, but we will go through it in the coming days.

First a non-region matchup with Beech this week at home. While it is an important game within the county for bragging rights, and could have an impact on the region in overall record, it is a non-region matchup. Beech won last season, in the return after a two year hiatus in the series, so Gallatin will look to return the favor at home this time.

Not much to say tonight, other than my most sincere apologies to our listeners for getting out of character tonight during the broadcast regarding some calls during the game.

I’m not perfect, and I don’t expect perfection from others, but I do hold myself to a higher standard of professionalism than I had at one point tonight. Yes, I’m disappointed and hurt for these kids, coaches and our community who have shown up and supported these kids this season. Bad calls, and even missed calls are part of it. I would hope for a better performance from myself in two weeks after some time away.

It’s Game-day on a Thursday for the Gallatin Green Wave as the roll across the river to visit the Mt. Juliet Golden Bears. It’s a huge game, but not just because the Bears are an old rival, it’s because it’s a region 4-6A game with huge implications for the post season involved. In case you don’t know, here are the current region standing, in which a Gallatin win would go a long way toward good things in the coming weeks. No, I’m not going to get into discussing it here, but believe us when we say this game is huge!
