Thank you to the nearly 500 community leaders, alumni, and supporters who gathered for Women Empowering Education.
We laughed, we built relationships, and we celebrated the impact made through the Volunteer State College Foundation
Over the past 19 years, the funds raised at this event has helped 243 students achienve their goals!
One of those students is Kimberly Boles.
She is a single mom who is pursuing a career in psychology to help individuals struggling with mental health issues, like those she experienced in her own life and family.
Today, she shared her story and thanked those who have made it possible to step into her future. “The scholarship has taken that weight off of my shoulders and given me confidence to pursue my goals. Thank you to every donor who has given me the confidence needed.”
Thank you to the sponsors, donors, and volunteers who made today such a success as we celebrate and empower our students!

We are incredibly thankful for First National Bank of Tennessee in Cookeville, a great business that recently contributed to the Upper Cumberland scholarship fund at Volunteer State Community College. 🎈🎁
These funds will open doors for students right in the U.C. who might not otherwise be able to attend college. Thank You!
