GHS Student Council

On Friday, we celebrated beloved faculty and staff who are retiring (and one who is moving to another position after 23 years). Teacher and coach Sue Luna; secretary Alice Lauderdale; teacher Maria Willett; and teacher Brian Hoover. Thank you can not begin to describe our appreciation of all that each of you have done for GHS. Best wishes in your next adventures.

Congrats to Mrs. Jessica Chapman and Mrs. Candida Hammock for being selected by their peers as the May recipients of the Award.

Congratulations to the young ladies selected for Homecoming courts next year. Football will be September 11, 2026, and basketball will be January 22, 2027.

Thank you to the DAR for donating an America 250 flag to GHS today. We had teachers that are veterans be a part of the presentation by DAR representative Katlyn Green. GHS teachers are Garret Preston, Greg West, Cyle Ercolino, and Morgan Minch.

Congratulations to our Earn the G Award winners for April: Emma Russo (EL Teacher) and Kristen Chenoweth (English). Kudos for all that you each do for our students.

Earn the G winners for March. Art teacher Iris Saunders and Math teacher Lauren (Lassiter) Morris were honored by their peers for their outstanding contributions to the culture of GHS.

Thank you to Second Harvest Food Bank for their prize for our outstanding Food Drive this school year. GHS again finished top 3 in donations for the midstate.
