Digital Arts 1 - Spring 2026
Pic & Pattern
We are learning the element of texture and the principle of rhythm/reptition. Students headed outside to take pictures of nature. We then created original patterns in photoshop using a mandala brush feature. They learned to overlay those patterns on top of their images and apply various blend modes to create 5 original compositions. Here are some examples. Fun project!

Students used the design process to create a cereal or snack box. They came up with their own cereal logo & food company logo - designing those in Illustrator. Some illustrated their own mascot by hand. Others chose a character that already existed in animation.
