Thank you to Nothing Bundt Cakes in Hendersonville for spoiling our teachers and staff with delicious Bundtinis! A special shoutout to their amazing manager, Rachel, who came out to set up a gorgeous variety of flavors for us to enjoy right alongside our walking tacos.

The sheer joy and excited chatter around the teacher’s lounge said it all—there’s nothing quite like a sweet Bundt cake treat to make our team feel appreciated and loved!

Thank you, Rachel, and the Hendersonville Nothing Bundt Cakes team for bringing so much happiness to our school family!

Thank you to the SCHS Sunshine Committee for treating our teachers and staff to delicious walking tacos today! It was such a tasty and thoughtful end of week highlight that put a smile on everyone’s face.

We also want to give a massive shoutout to our incredible Senior Bison Parents, Katie Palenzuela, Scott Weybright, and Heather Allen, for volunteering their time to serve us lunch today. Having your smiling faces, extra hands, and loving support in our building means more to our team than you know.

We are so grateful for this amazing community—thank you for taking such great care of us!

This morning, before the Pledge of Allegiance, Mr. Van Huss took to the announcements to recount the tragic events of September 11, drawing our entire school into a moment of history and reflection.

As the building fell silent, the somber, beautiful notes of Taps, played by members of our Thundering Herd, drifted through every hallway to honor the fallen, the families, and the heroes who sacrificed everything on that Tuesday morning.

On 9/11, true courage echoed high above the clouds aboard Flight 93. Knowing the threat to our nation, ordinary citizens chose not to retreat. Facing unimaginable danger, they stood side-by-side to protect countless innocent lives on the ground, united by Todd Beamer’s legendary final words:

"Let's roll."

They didn't run from the dark—they turned, stood together, and charged directly into the storm.

From the story Mr. Van Huss shared to the echo of Taps in our halls today, we are reminded of what it means to lead with selfless bravery, stand united in difficult times, and charge the storm.

We will never forget. Honor the sacrifice. Charge the storm.
Let’s roll.

Our Station Camp Advanced Art students kicked off the school year with a massive collaborative project to celebrate our country's semi-quincentennial!

Together, all 63 Advanced Art students recreated Emmanuel Leutze’s iconic painting, Washington Crossing the Delaware. Each student was assigned a single 9" x 9" square to complete. When put all together, their individual pieces formed one breathtaking final masterpiece measuring 5.5 feet by 8.5 feet!

We are so proud of the hard work, precision, and teamwork it took to bring this huge piece of history to life. Swipe through to check out the incredible details!
