LCHS Senior Spotlight: Hanne Louw
Meet Hanne Louw, a senior who loves planning events just as much as attending them!
One of her favorite birthday memories was celebrating her 7th birthday while her family was on vacation in Curaçao. The hotel staff surprised her with a party she’ll never forget! Her favorite family activity is traveling, especially visiting her dad’s family in Spain.
One of her proudest accomplishments is serving as Student Council President. She is grateful for her high school experience, spending three years playing school volleyball and serving on Student Council. She has also been involved in BETA, HOSA, and NHS, where she serves as Historian. She stays active in her community by working at Oak Grove Farms, running a banner business, and creating Sumner Student Give Back to help connect students with volunteer opportunities across Sumner County.
After high school, she plans to attend an SEC school and pursue a career as an interior designer or an occupational therapist. When she was little, she dreamed of becoming a dolphin trainer.
Of all her high school memories, Homecoming season holds a special place in her heart. From dress-up days, the parade, and pep rally to Friday night’s game and the dance, she loves seeing everyone’s hard work come together so the whole school can simply have fun.
Her favorite class was Mrs. Turpen’s English class during her freshman year. She learned academic and personal lessons in that class that have impacted her throughout high school.
Her biggest role model is her mom, whom she describes as the most caring, kind-hearted, and generous person she knows. She credits her mom for helping shape her into the person she is today. Her favorite foods are an In-N-Out cheeseburger and her dad’s famous grilled cheese.
If she could travel anywhere, she would love to go to Uganda on a mission trip. Looking ahead, three things she hopes to accomplish in her lifetime are skydiving, becoming a mom, and meeting Riley Green!
