🌎🏗️ Shaking Things Up in Science!

Students in Mrs. Nicholson’s science class have been exploring seismic waves through a fun, hands-on challenge! Working collaboratively, students used a budget to “purchase” building materials and design their own towers. Then came the ultimate test! Would their structures withstand the shaking caused by P-waves and S-waves on the shake tables?

This engaging activity brought science to life as students put their creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving skills to the test!

🥞🎶 Pancakes & Performances! 🎶🥞

Join us Saturday, October 17th, at GIS for the Kiwanis Pancake Breakfast and enjoy some sweet sounds along with your pancakes!

Our Intermediate and Middle School choirs will be performing throughout the morning. Come grab breakfast, support our Kiwanis, and cheer on our talented student singers! 🐯💙🧡

📢 IMPORTANT REMINDER FOR PARENTS/GUARDIANS OF STUDENTS WITH FOOD ALLERGIES
If you have listed a food allergy or dietary restriction in Final Forms, please be aware that updated doctor documentation is required each school year in order for Galion City School Foodservice to provide meal substitutions.
📧 An email was sent on September 25 to families who have a food allergy or dietary need listed in Final Forms and who still need to provide updated documentation.
⚠️ Important Deadline: October 16, 2026
After October 16, meal substitutions will not be provided for students who do not have the required doctor documentation on file with the Foodservice Department.
This documentation is required by ODEW for meal substitutions and helps ensure we are meeting your child’s dietary needs while remaining in compliance with federal and state requirements.
