EATON STUDENTS ARE SHOWING UP - 2nd best of all school districts!
Recent public reporting highlighted Eaton School District as Colorado’s 2nd-highest-performing district for attendance. That recognition is about much more than a number. It reflects a community culture and belief in our schools.
Eaton is a place where students experience belonging, safety, connection, and camaraderie. Every day, caring teachers, coaches, support staff, campus monitors, School Resource Officers, and administrators work to make our schools places where students want to be. This is foundational to academic success from kindergarten through graduation.
Our parents and families support consistent attendance, partner with teachers and administrators, and reinforce the importance of education. The Eaton and Galeton communities put kids first, which is felt by students every day on and off campus.
Colorado Department of Education data show that Eaton's attendance rate was 94.7% in 2025–26, compared with 91.5% statewide. Even more encouraging, following COVID, Eaton SD schools reduced chronic absenteeism from 26.7% to 11.6% over four years—a 56.6% reduction. The article ran on September 16:

Strong attendance doesn't happen by accident. It happens when students feel safe, connected, supported, and valued.
