📣 WE NEED YOU, RAM BAND FANS! 📣

We have just 4 home varsity football games, and we need people to help make them happen!

We need volunteers for the concession stand and cheese fry stand.The Music Boosters receive 20% of concession sales, which helps pay for performance meals, instrument repairs and more. No volunteers = no money for our kids. We’re also looking for someone to learn the cheese fries stand this season since our current person is stepping away after this year.

Our Ram Marching Band members were up bright and early this morning, welcoming staff with the school song and “High Hopes” as they arrived for the annual back to school breakfast! So proud of these kids and the G-A spirit they brought to kick off the school year!

And just like that, Band Camp 2026 is officially in the books! We want to give a HUGE thank you to everyone who helped make this week such a success!

First, thank you to all of our volunteers who helped with check-in, setup, lunch crew, uniform fittings, and everything in between. We truly appreciate everyone who gave their time to help our Ram Band!

Also, thanks to the generosity of some of our Ram Band families, we were able to provide lunch every day of band camp this year! Thank you to everyone who donated food and drinks throughout the week to keep our Rams fueled and ready to go! This year, we saved the most anticipated lunch for last! We moved our annual pizza party to Friday, giving the students a special treat to look forward to as they wrapped up a long week of camp. A special shout out to Jackie Keeler for helping us make it happen with Jet’s Pizza!

And, a BIG thank you to Kristy Towery for taking our photos today! We truly appreciate her taking the time to make sure our Rams have photos they’ll be able to look back on for years to come!

We also want to thank the Galesburg Charleston Fire Department for coming out to hose down our students after the annual shaving cream fight. It’s one of the most anticipated traditions of band camp, and our students certainly know how to have a good time with it!

And of course, thank you to Ms. Dornoff for all of her work with the band, Jessica Cassel for working with our color guard, and Ms. Edgerton, who still loves the G-A Band enough to come back and help! We are so grateful for everyone who continues to support these students and this program.

After getting a sneak peek today of everything they’ve learned this week, we can’t wait to see them take the field next month! Great job, Rams!

It was another great day at band camp! Thanks once again to everyone who donated items for today's delicious macaroni and cheese lunch! We truly appreciate your generosity and your willingness to help take care of our Rams!
Also, a huge shout out to our amazing uniform fitting volunteers - Nikki Ellis, Douglas Gaertner, Beth Walker Fawcett, Bobbi Benson Nigg, Karina Nigg, Emmalee Steinacker & Jamie Baird! Thanks to your hard work, every single Ram Band member was fitted before lunch today! We couldn't have done it without you!

We could really use a few more helping hands tomorrow with uniform fittings! Right now, we only have 3 volunteers signed up, but we need at least 5. If you have a few hours to spare tomorrow morning from 9am to 12pm, please consider helping so we can get all of our Ram Band members fitted and ready for picture day on Friday. We’d truly appreciate your help!

🌮 Taco Tuesday at Band Camp! 🌮

After spending the morning outside working on drill, our Ram Band students enjoyed a taco lunch before heading back to work for sectionals. We’re excited to see everything starting to come together!

We'd also like to take a minute to extend a huge thank you to all of our volunteers who have given their time to help with check-in, setup, and lunch. And, many thanks to everyone who has contributed food for lunch so far! We truly appreciate you for helping these long days a little easier for our students!
