And just like that, our last week of camp for the summer here at Oak Meadows has come to a close! this wilderness mashup week was just an assortment of outdoor fun and crafts. Nature weaving, blackberry picking, play creating, magic window making whirlwind of fun!
A huge thank you to all the families for trusting us with your kiddos who came home exhausted, dirty, and full of camp stories I'm sure, and to all the help I received in order to make this dream a reality. Big things lay ahead for us.
What a fun, marvelous, creative and imaginative 6 weeks!! We cannot wait for next summer already!

Today at camp we created friends for our fairy and gnomes! Butterfly rings and clay marble snails. We were also able to put our swords and shields to use in a great wild rompus of free play! (I even heard from a few friends that the gems adorning them gave the swords magical powers!🤫)

Just had to share the gorgeous shields and swords the children created today to be magical protectors of the land! Craft time is such a lovely time that draws in focus and attention after free play in our nature Oasis. We ended the day today with some games of "statue Garden" to help our imagination grow 🌱🪄

We ended our Water week with epic boat racing! Even with some mishaps and a capsize or 2, the children had a blast and ran their boats down the canal time and time again. Can't believe there are only 2 weeks of camp left!

It's water works theme at camp this week! Friends came together yesterday to practice stitch work as we sewed the sails to our boats we will be racing down the creek by the end of the week. First a canal must be built in the stream so our boats will have a float path! Ready to play hard today!

Friday dawned chillier on the last day of camp this week, the perfect excuse for a campfire! The day was spent playing games, relaxing after a long week, and having reflection time in our sit spots.
As the day sailed by the sun peaked out and burnt off the clouds and it seemed like life celebrated all around us, complete with dancing monarchs!
