Hi! I'm Ms. Ellie. This will be my 26th year in the classroom. I am so excited for the inaugural year of Sassafras Primary School. I love teaching language arts, math, Spanish, & art. I have a passion for special education and making sure all students feel welcome in the classroom. When I'm not in the classroom, I love to write, take pictures, travel, and listen to audio books. I am married & have 4 children, 3 cats & a chicken! I can't wait to share updates about our first year. Thanks for following along.

As I look in awe at the beautiful students I will be teaching this year as part of our 5-day or homeschool program, I'm grateful to God. All the hard work of getting this school off the ground matters because these kids matter. Having a safe, caring place to learn matters. All glory be to God.

Check out my crown! This beautiful girl was the winner of our Engineering Design Contest. Students were given 5 different types of materials and had to design 5 different creations - while being timed! We saw robots, cats, jump ropes, houses, and a crown! Such fun.
