Nothing is more impacting than reaching out to history, and having it reach back. Thank you to Shannon Panek Donovan for the opportunity to return to Quarters One and have one last chat with "the General".

Apparently I can't even do a sound check miking up music at the Mason House Inn Bed & Breakfast (aka Bramden House) without getting an EVP.

I have to say I went into watching the Poltergeist (2015) movie ready to be disappointed. I found myself pleasantly surprised with the numerous updates made to parapsychology references, paranormal references, and investigatory methods. The updates to include reality television were also enjoyable. Of course it wouldn't be mainstream entertainment if it were not for the exaggerated PK events (have yet to see a poltergeist agent throw a car through the side of the house), and we couldn't classify it as a remake unless we had the dramatic physical entry into the celestial portal in the closet (even Quantum physics theorists roll their eyes at that one). Even though it appeared to have received lackluster success at the box office (too bad), I would really love to see what they would do with Poltergeist II.

Very saddened to hear of the passing of Philip Adrian Booth. With his brother Chris, they have accomplished much in opening people's eyes to the humanity behind the paranormal, producing moving documentaries for the screen, augmented by their own brilliant soundtracks.

Rest in peace, comrade, and solemn condolences to his family at this difficult time. You shall be missed...

One of my favorite television shows from my youth has always been "MASH". To me it's always been the perfect blend of comedy, history, medicine, and at times, deep philosophical thought. Season 9 Ep20, "The Life You Save," was one of those, as it was bold enough to have a doctor ponder the question of the existence of life after life.

Apollo 14 astronaut Edgar Mitchell spent his life exploring both outer space and the mysteries of human experience. Following his journey to the moon, he founded the Institute of Noetic Sciences (IONS), an organization dedicated to researching consciousness, human potential, and extraordinary experiences through scientific inquiry.

His words remain a powerful reminder that curiosity, humility, and open-minded investigation are essential to discovery.
