The Drama Club’s production of Godspell premieres this Thursday, Friday, and Saturday night at Turner Hall at 7:30. Doors open at 7:00 and tickets are available at the door at $10 for adults and $7 for students. Check out our poster and some pictures from our recent Turner Hall rehearsals!

The final day of Theatre Fest was a smashing success! We started our day with more hotel hair and makeup and then performed our final run of It’s a Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play and received our commemorative plaque.

We watched the All-State production of Newsies in the impressive Braden Auditorium. The chaperones needed explanations on why the crowd errupted on the line, “A barbershop haircut that costs a quarter!”

We ended the night at Portillo’s and now with a sleepy bus ride home.

The 50th Annual High School Theatre Festival will go down as one of our favorites!

Day 2 of Theatre Fest! We spent our morning and afternoon enjoying the productions and workshops in small groups. Then, off to the hotel to get ready for our first performance this evening. We entered our space, set everything up, rehearsed, and had a company meeting all in the 30 minutes before our doors opened! Things move fast at Theatre Fest, and we’re excited for our final performance tomorrow morning and the All-State production of Newsies!

A fun first night at the 50th Annual Illinois High School Theatre Festival! We traveled to Bloomington-Normal and saw the opening ceremony, which featured alumni from past All-State productions. Fun and exciting new fast food options were had by all!

We had a fantastic run of It’s a Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play this weekend. We are excited to announce that we have been selected to perform at the 50th Annual Illinois High School Theatre Festival in January. Go thespian pirates!🏴‍☠️🎭🎄

A truly wonderful read-through last night for our fall production of It’s a Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play! Fun and spaghetti were had by all.

Last week, we had our end-of-year banquet. We inducted new members into the International Thespian Society, said a heartfelt goodbye to our seniors, and (most importantly) ate some delicious food. It was a great night had by all! Thanks for a fantastic year of theatre!

We also found out that next year we will be producing “It’s a Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play” for our fall show and “Godspell” for our spring musical! We’re excited to show off our season theme, “The Power of One, the Strength of Many.”
