DO YOU HAVE A PASSION FOR EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION?
The Galena ARC is looking for a full-time lead Pre-k teacher and a full-time lead Toddler teacher. We are also looking to add to our sub pool for both assistants and lead teachers for all ages 6 weeks to 12 years.
-For the lead teacher position:
*A minimum of an Associates degree in or in a field directly related to Early Childhood Education is preferred.
*Lead teachers must be at least 19 years of age, have a high school diploma or GED, and one of the following: 1) 60 semester hours of college credits with 6 of those related directly to childcare or child development, from birth to age 6 or 2) one year of experience in a school or licensed childcare center and 30 semester hours of college credits with 6 of those related directly to childcare or child development, from birth to age 6 or 3) completion of approved credentialing programs of the CDA or the CCP.
-For the Assistant position, experience in a school or childcare setting is preferred. Some college education related to Early Childhood Education is a plus.
* Both Lead teachers and assistants must meet the requirements as outlined in the Illinois DCFS licensing standards section 407.100-407.140.
